Foot Notes and the Durham University Big Band (DUBB) present their first ever collaboration concert featuring highlights from both groups’ 2024/25 sets, and collaborative numbers ranging from Gene Puerling to Ēriks Ešenvalds.
Off the back of a successful first term, described as ‘vibrant and accomplished’ in audience reviews, Foot Notes are thrilled to return to the Durham stage alongside DUBB with a diverse range of repertoire: from the music of Anaїs Mitchell in Hadestown, to the likes of Alexander L’Estrange and Eleanor Daley.
DUBB are excited to collaborate with Foot Notes on a concert with highlights from their 2024/25 set: Unspoken Voices. They are proud to present a programme of underrepresented composers in a unique contemporary set, including the music of Nikki Iles, Maria Schneider, and a big band arrangement of Ēriks Ešenvalds’ “Only In Sleep”.
