William Walton's 'Façade' combines influences of jazz with the extravagant nature of Edith Sitwell's poem collection of the same name. Speech and music truly unite as Sitwell's poems are performed over Walton's music and her experiments with text, speech and rhythm are complimented and enhanced by Walton’s underscoring.
