Join DUCE on the 15th of June at Elvet Methodist Church for Ceremony and Celebration, featuring works by Bach, Handel, Mozart & Mendelssohn in a festive end-of-year summer concert.

Join Durham University Classical Ensemble at Elvet Methodist Church on the 15th of June for a summer evening of Ceremony and Celebration. Our festive and varied programme opens with Bach’s majestic Orchestral Suite No. 3, including the beloved 'Air in G'. The evening will include works by Handel and Mendelssohn, followed by Mozart's joyful Symphony No. 32. The concert concludes with Mendelssohn’s evocative Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage, a stirring and celebratory farewell befitting the season — and particularly poignant as we bid adieu to the year 2024/2025 and our graduating musicians.
