Brass Band

Our Brass Band is a thriving non auditioned society at Durham, and is one of our most active. The band holds multiple concerts each year, alongside it’s frequent attendance at national competitions including UniBrass and key brass banding events, such as Whit Friday and Durham Miner’s Gala. Placing 4th at UniBrass in 2023 and with an exceptional programme of masterclasses with professionals, the Brass Band is an exceptional society for music making and socials. A welcoming and inclusive society, Brass Band is a great way to get involved in both the musical and social sides of Student Music.

The Brass Band is active in the community, with a busy schedule of carolling in December and a consistent presence at events such as Durham Regatta. Each year, they hold a christmas concert with Durham University Concert Band - a highlight of the Durham Student Music year!
